We ask you for your full name and your relationship to a current contributor. This information is made available to anyone who visits this website. Because it is possible to relate your user name to your full name, your stories can be tied to you.

We ask you for your email address. It can be seen only by contributors and anyone you invite to join the site. Importantly, that means your email address cannot be added to third party databases unless that third party is a contributor. You don't have to worry about web robots (search engines) finding and using your email addresss.

We do have standard logging functions turned on, it's automatic at our ISP. We use the logs to determine which browsers we have to support. No data is gathered that would allow us to correlate the information in the web logs with a particular user. However, since we are a small site with limited membership, this might allow us to guess which log entries go with which user. A similar caveat applies to our partner stores: the reports we get do not relate users to purchases, but we are informed of all purchases (and for some partners all visits). So if your going to buy a surprise gift for the privacy officer...
